Photographing the HOKA x Mission Brewing x Milestone Collaboration Event in San Diego
I recently had the opportunity to photograph a unique three-way collaboration event between HOKA, Mission Brewing, and Milestone Running—and it was a great mix of good shoes, good beer, and good people. The event celebrated the 15th anniversary of a local San Diego run club and brought out around 150 runners.
I've worn HOKA running shoes myself (they work), and I’ve definitely tried a few beers—so I was happy to combine both for this shoot. I was introduced to the event through my friend Johnny Vu, HOKA’s Southern California marketing lead, who brought me in to help document the events.
It was my first time getting a closer look at San Diego’s running community, and I was genuinely impressed by the turnout, and the community. Thanks again to HOKA and Johnny for having me!
